The console release and a PC specification sheet are different announcements. Rockstar’s current platform guidance lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The PC tables appearing in search results are publishers’ forecasts, so the useful preparation is to collect your own hardware details rather than treat one of those tables as a completed compatibility test.

FieldWhat you actually compareWhere it appears
CPUThe complete model — not just “i5” or “Ryzen 5”model field
GPUThe complete model; record a desktop or laptop GPU name exactly as the device reports itmodel field
RAMInstalled memory capacityinstalled RAM
StorageFree space on the drive you plan to install toavailable space
WindowsVersion, edition and 32/64-bit system typeversion / system type
Target experienceThe resolution, graphics preset and frame-rate target stated by the sheetshown alongside the hardware tier

A useful requirements table pairs hardware with a target experience. Minimum and recommended labels should be read alongside the stated resolution, graphics preset and frame-rate target. The component names matter too: record the complete model instead of shortening a processor to “i5” or a graphics card to “RTX.”

This section is an editor’s guide to reading a spec sheet. It explains which conditions to look for; it does not define what GTA 6’s future minimum tier will mean for any specific frame rate.

Record your GTA 6 PC specs now

PC preparation checklist: tick each line once you have written it down. A completed checklist means your record is ready for comparison — it is not a compatibility pass for the game.

  • CPU — the full processor model
  • GPU — the full graphics card model, desktop or laptop
  • RAM — the installed memory capacity
  • Windows — version, edition and system type
  • Free space — available storage on the drive you will install to

CPU, RAM and Windows

  1. Right-click Start and open Settings.
  2. Choose System, then About.
  3. Record the processor and installed RAM under Device specifications.
  4. Record the system type and the Windows edition and version.

Available storage

Open Settings > System > Storage and check the drive you plan to use for the game. If your PC has several drives, look at the storage used on the other drives as well. Your total drive capacity and your remaining free space are different values.

Save a DirectX diagnostic record

Windows includes the DirectX Diagnostic Tool. Search for dxdiag, open the System tab and record the DirectX version shown there. “Save All Information” produces a diagnostic text file that is useful when you need to share your device details for support.

RTX 3060, RTX 4060 and laptop questions

For an RTX 3060, RTX 4060 or a gaming laptop, keep the exact GPU model with the rest of your PC specs. Once Rockstar publishes the PC requirements, compare the complete system and the performance target together. That gives you a useful upgrade decision: which part falls short, and for the settings you actually want to use.
